後悔 (惡作劇之吻)

July 2nd, 2007 by ah-lynn

~ My being ~

2 Dec 2006, stepped into a new stage of my life. Life is not solo but with greater commitments and responsibility. A new element entered my life and promise to live with eternity. I have accepted and promise to withhold with the best of everything. Thru the vows and promises, we swear & promised to uphold it within the best of our limits.

Living to the age of 25, guess half of my life time passed. Reaching the other stage of life, perhaps I should feel contented that I’ve reached these. As age grows, we’ve learn to cherish people and things around me.

It has been a good day and we’re trying to make the best out of it despite conflicts and disputes moving on. This is inevitable and both of us is trying to accept and improve on it.

Never imagined that this day will come, ringing the wedding bells with him. Despite all the +-*/ with him throughout the moments we’re together, we’ve still ending up being partners for each other in the remaining of our times. God bless and we appreciate Gods giving.

I felt loved and cherished by people around me and thanks to them, which make me feel wonderful. Thanks to all the great pals who are with me on that day. I really enjoy & appreciate your companied. Especially AC, FT, EL, CN and my exquisite colleagues, thanks for always being there for me no matter how much gaffe or idiotic things I’ve made. ;p

Not forgetting my family, they’ve been tolerating and accepting all the mumbo jumbo since the day I’m brought to Earth. ;p Thanks Dad & Mum! Guess it must be a great relief to you all that I’m finally wanted by somebody. LOL

2 greatest disappointments so far…………

2 of my best pals wasn’t present ya.. Yes!.. u know who you are, EW and IL. EW will be forgiven lor.. Work ma.. No choice.. Too bad you’re in Japan at that time.. hmmm.. But IL, really disappointed that you din attends. It’s because of you that Me and Ed get to know each other but you’re not there to witness it. Anyway it’s over, so ………-_-“

And next of course, my parents! After so many years, I still can’t provide you the best of life. It pains me to see you both doing hazardous work at this age. Give me more time, I’ll continue to strive and let you both live in comfort in the days to come.

Don’t worry; my heart is still with you although I’m ‘out’ ya.

ATTITUDE IS MORE IMP0RTANT THAN APTITUDE

November 16th, 2005 by ah-lynn

Attitude, as it has been said, is much more important than aptitude. Aptitude says that we can do things, but attitude will determine how well we do them. Aptitude will determine how well we can think, but attitude will determine how well we feel about what we think. Aptitude will help us see things that perhaps others don’t see, but attitude will help how we interpret what we see. A person with a healthy, positive attitude can achieve much more with his average aptitude than a person with a highly skilled aptitude but who has a negative and self-defeating attitude.

People with a positive attitude will see the glass half-full and be thankful, while those with a negative attitude will see the glass half-empty and complain about it. Both are correct of course but it’s attitude that makes the difference in how they see things. In life we see things not the way they are but the way we are. And if we don’t have an honest attitude, we will distort the most obvious facts to make them match our prejudiced attitude.

Then of course there are those who will argue that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be. You can’t win with these people because no matter what you say, they will disagree with you because they have a disagreeable attitude.

It’s attitude that makes the difference. Aptitude is a gift. Attitude is a choice.

I like what Michael Josephson of Character Counts said, "So, at least for today, I’m not going to worry that roses have thorns; I’ll rejoice that thorns have roses." Now that’s a positive and healthy attitude, and a healthy, dynamic way to live.

Ended Journey….

August 22nd, 2005 by ah-lynn

Life is like a holiday… Everyone is brought to earth for a short journey… The holiday will end eventually… We r brought to this trip with families n friends… So cherish everyone around u as u won’t know when they will leave u…

I just lost someone that has been looking after me when I’m young. When I’m young, my parents are always very busy with work. They work doubly hard in order to give us a better life. They seldom have time for me and my brother, and will always put us under the care of my aunt. Or even weekends, some times we will stay over at my Aunt’s place. They owe an Electrical shop. Business has been growing thru the years.

My uncle, a person who is so nice, friendly and easy-going will bring us out with him for work whenever possible. His devoted passion for work is beyond understanding.

He brings us to places that we have never been to. Funny places that you’ll find lots of antiques, old and used items… He enjoys it… We too… although the weather is so unbearable… I don’t even know the name of the place till now, but it has been always on my mind. He will also bring us for good food after he finished his things. Yeah… in fact he brings us to food that I have never eaten before. For some, it’s even the first time and never again I get to try it.

A very cheerful person, who smiles to everyone he see. He has never complaint of work laborious. A normal person will not be able to take it. But his effort takes off. His business grew. And in fact, he came from a reputable & very well to do family. He is so different from his family. He doesn’t carry the arrogant look and character of a rich man. He does his own business, starting from a small Electrical shop.

But one day, shocking news struck me. He died in his passion. An explosion caused me to lose my beloved uncle. He has been repairing lots of electrical appliances in his life. Never expect that one day it is his own passion towards his job that took him away from us. He just shifted to a new warehouse… And that is where he left us….

What actually causes the explosion? Can someone tell me? I don’t know why. He is so experience in handling all this stuffs. But why did it happen? He never left any message to anyone. It was so unexpected. All of a sudden… He just left like this…

His body was badly burned. It doesn’t look like him anymore. It’s such a heart pain… It’s dreadful…

I’ll never have a chance to see him again; smiling and walking into my house saying “nobody arrives… Call them now, its mahjong time” …

I miss the joyful look on his face… I can never get to see that again. My greatest regret is that I didn’t know that he just had an operation recently. I did not visit him. I have not seen him for a long time.

Anyway, it’s fact that I have to accept… although I don’t wish to…

But though, he’ll live forever in my heart…

How to improve on Work….

August 15th, 2005 by ah-lynn

Essential in the Lean Manufacturing Structure is

The "5S" Philosophy

Seiri       Seiton       Seiso      Seiketsu     Shitsuke

Based on Japanese words that begin with ‘S’, the 5S Philosophy focuses on effective work place organization and standardized work procedures. 5S simplifies your work environment, reduces waste and non-value activity while improving quality efficiency and safety.

Sort – (Seiri) the first S focuses on eliminating unnecessary items from the workplace. An effective visual method to identify these unneeded items is called red tagging. A red tag is placed on all items not required to complete your job. These items are then moved to a central holding area. This process is for evaluation of the red tag items. Occasionally used items are moved to a more organized storage location outside of the work area while unneeded items are discarded. Sorting is an excellent way to free up valuable floor space and eliminate such things as broken tools, obsolete jigs and fixtures, scrap and excess raw material. The Sort process also helps prevent the JIC job mentality (Just In Case.)

Set In Order (Seiton) is the second of the 5Ss and focuses on efficient and effective storage methods.

You must ask yourself these questions:

  1. What do I need to do my job?
  2. Where should I locate this item?
  3. How many of this item do I really need?

Strategies for effective Set In Order are: painting floors, outlining work areas and locations, shadow boards, and modular shelving and cabinets for needed items such as trash cans, brooms, mop and buckets. Imagine how much time is wasted every day looking for a broom? The broom should have a specific location where all employees can find it. "A place for everything and everything in its place."

Shine: (Seiso) Once you have eliminated the clutter and junk that has been clogging your work areas and identified and located the necessary items, the next step is to thoroughly clean the work area. Daily follow-up cleaning is necessary in order to sustain this improvement. Workers take pride in a clean and clutter-free work area and the Shine step will help create ownership in the equipment and facility. Workers will also begin to notice changes in equipment and facility location such as air, oil and coolant leaks, repeat contamination and vibration, broken, fatigue, breakage, and misalignment. These changes, if left unattended, could lead to equipment failure and loss of production. Both add up to impact your company’s bottom line.

Standardize: (Seiketsu) Once the first three 5S’s have been implemented, you should concentrate on standardizing best practice in your work area. Allow your employees to participate in the development of such standards. They are a valuable but often overlooked source of information regarding their work. Think of what McDonalds, Pizza Hut, UPS, Blockbuster and the United States Military would be without effective work standards.

Sustain: (Shitsuke) This is by far the most difficult S to implement and achieve. Human nature is to resist change and more than a few organizations have found themselves with a dirty cluttered shop a few months following their attempt to implement 5S. The tendency is to return to the status quo and the comfort zone of the "old way" of doing things. Sustain focuses on defining a new status quo and standard of work place organization.

Once fully implemented, the 5S process can increase morale, create positive impressions on customers, and increase efficiency and organization. Not only will employees feel better about where they work, the effect on continuous improvement can lead to less waste, better quality and faster lead times. Any of which will make your organization more profitable and competitive in the market place.

Life is…..

Life is:

To accept things with flaws.

To have your own target.

Live life to the fullest.

Always try your best in everything u do.

If you have tried all, you have not wasted your life living.

Although u might not be able to do it, at least u tried.

It took a lot of courage to do certain things in your life. If u have tried once, that is great.

If not, try now. U’ll find it worthwhile no matter what’s the outcome.

Cos that’s LIFE.
